A note from the bloke who built it

Patchwise started with the gardeners in my life — the ones who've grown food for forty years and still check the frost forecast, and the ones who've just put their first tomato in a courtyard pot. I'm a gardener myself and understand the information I'd like to see. I've spent a lot of time and thought developing it, and I know this user base: you don't want another account, another app that nags, or your garden data sitting on someone else's server. You want to know what to do in your patch this week, in plain English, and you want it to work at the back fence.

That's why I made sure every critical element stays free — the whole plant database, the zone calendar, the "what to do now" list. The free app alone should be the best garden reference you can get, wherever you garden. I only ask that you consider subscribing if you think it's worth it.

I appreciate every one of you for downloading — please reach out if you have any suggestions. Good gardening advice has always travelled by word of mouth: a mate showing another mate at the garden club, the Men's Shed, over the back fence.
